National Geographic 1965/2
[RARE]
$15.00

National Geographic Magazine from February 1965. Another wonderful issue from the end of Geographic's golden era...articles on "Four-Ocean Navy in the Nuclear Age", "Incredible Photograph Shows Earth from Pole to Pole", "The Leakeys of Africa: Family in Search of Prehistoric Man", "Picture-Book Portofino" (beautiful!), "North to the Pole on Skis", and "Birds that "See" in the Dark with their Ears" (sign them up for "Stupid Pet Tricks"on Letterman!). Splendidly illustrated and written issue, in VG condition with very minor edge wear. Insert map is absent. Plenty of old ads for cars (Cadillacs, Lincolns, and Oldsmobiles...all so big they would require their own zip codes!), the Kodak Instamatic 800, a great full-pager for RCA Color TV's with the cast of "Bonanza" all laughing at something (maybe Hop Sing slipped while chopping onions), and a classic back-cover Coca-Cola ad with a pair of ladies sipping Cokes while under a couple of hair dryers that resemble Flash Gordon's rocketship! Magazine dimensions 10" x 7". Only one in stock.
