National Geographic 1952/6
[RARE]
$20.00

National Geographic Magazine from June 1952.. Another splendid example of National Geographic magazine in the 1950's...articles on "Roaming the West's Fantastic Four Corners", "Where Turk and Russian Meet", "Paris, Home Town of the World" (beautiful photos), "We Dwelt in Kashagai Tents", "Graduation by Parachute" (failure is not an option!), and "Southwest Asia Again Makes History". Splendidly illustrated and written issue, in VG-F condition with some minor edge wear. Map insert is absent. Plenty of old ads for Bell Telephone, IBM (with a man standing next to a GIGANTIC "electronic calculator", the great-grandaddy of your computer) , steamship lines, bus lines, railway, the bulbously streamlined new Cadillac, and more. The back cover has a great Coca-Cola ad with a seemingly friendly outdoorsman wanting to spend some time with you, intuitively saying "What you want is a Coke"...hey wait a minute...how did he know? And what ELSE do you know about me?? "Enjoy its tingly goodness and off you go - to play refreshed". Without even as much as a thank you. Magazine dimensions 10" x 7". Only one in stock.
