1983 Kronoform "Multi-Force/Gats-Blocker 14" Robot Set *SOLD*
[RARE]
$255.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $255.00) Vintage Kronoform "Multi-Force/Gats-Blocker 14" Combiner Robot Set, by Takara. Venture back, Poptoppers, to the dim, dark years of the early 1980's...with Hasbro's "Transformers" line of robot toys taking off like wildfire in the US, the Takara toy company in Japan (who had licensed out many of their old Diaclone robots to Hasbro) must have decided to get a piece of the action directly by starting their "Kronoform" line in the States. (The box for this Diakron "Multi-Force 14" is marked "1983", actually predating the Transformers' release in the U.S.!) Here is a beautiful boxed set featuring a complete COMBINER ROBOT, sold in Japan originally as the Diaclone "Gats-Blocker 14"...made up of 14 (!) individual "Attack Vehicles". In its Japanese incarnation, the 14 little jets and pilots were all sold separately for a while, along with the boxed combiner set. Meanwhile, back in the good 'ol USA, Takara attempted to develop a "good vs. evil" story line around the Kronoform characters, but it never went anywhere, as the Transformers and GoBots had taken too much of a marketing lead in the States. This short-lived Takara set from a quarter-century ago is difficult to find these days as they did not sell particularly well without much of a TV show tie-in, and fewer still ended up in the hands of folks like yours truly, who has kept it unopened and stored, lo, these many years! Yep, that's right, it's MINT-CONDITION, UNPLAYED and UNOPENED!! Factory taped both sides; NO flap crease!!! C-10, dudes! Out of stock.
