Prehistory Animal "Prontosaurus" Transforming Robot *SOLD*
[RARE]
$125.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $125.00) Prehistory Animal "Prontosaurus" Transforming Robot, made in Taiwan. Welcome to the wonderful world of Transformers knock-offs. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...well here is a big compliment to all at Takara and Hasbro! This one from 1985 came out at the same time as Hasbro's Dinobots. It is actually very well-made for a bootleg and, indeed, to someone's credit, they have come up with a different creature...somewhat. It is basically like the Transformer "Sludge", but it has a Pterodactyl head and wings, with spine-plates thrown in for good measure. It also has weapons: a gun, missiles with launcher and a sword...all "borrowed" from Takara toys. And what the heck is a "Prontosaurus" anyway?? A dinosaur that does things really, really fast? Oh, wait a minute, it's a "Prehistory Animal". As the box states, "Animal mechanism finally appears", I guess if one waits long enough. Anyway, ya gotta love stuff like this, even though it's outside of the TF line! Original (if Mr. Pop Top can use that term in this instance) box is in very good shape, and features some pretty good artwork, too. MINT-IN-BOX condition, with all of its weapons and sticker sheet, included...unopened, unplayed. Out of stock.
