The Lone Ranger and the Gold Robbery (Pinnacle)
[RARE]
$35.00

The Lone Ranger and the Gold Robbery, by Pinnacle. "Get 'em up, Scout!" Here is the RARE FIRST EDITION of the paperback version of this great Lone Ranger yarn, released in 1976. "Gold Robbery" was originally authored by radio writer Fran Striker (Francis Hamilton), creator of the Lone Ranger and the Green Hornet, in 1939 (did you know that the Ranger and the Hornet were related? They were...but that is a tale for another day). This hard-to-find book from over 30 years ago has a stunning cover by artist Bruce Minney, depicting the Lone Ranger and his loyal friend Tonto in hot pursuit of the gold robbers. From the last gasping words of a dying man pulled from the mud and quicksand of a dreary swamp, the Lone Ranger learns of plans to rob a gold shipment. To avert this, the masked man shows up in the town of Black River for a clandestine visit to the express office, where he hopes to disrupt the criminals' plans by abstracting the papers that define the manner of the shipment of the gold! Western escapism at its best. This book is in VF-MINT CONDITION, SPINE UNCHALLENGED, NICE AND SHINY. Only one in stock. Mr. Pop Top can still hear the radio intro for this long-running show echoing in his head: "From out of the past comes the thundering hoofbeats of the great horse Silver...THE LONE RANGER RIDES AGAIN! Hi Yo, Silver, awaaaaay!!!!!"
