Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean "Condemned to Chains" *SOLD*
[RARE]
$295.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $295.00) Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean "Condemned to Chains Forever" Kit by MPC. AARRRRRRRR!!! An original MPC Pirates of the Caribbean model kit from 1972 in perfect condition, UNBUILT! One of a series of "Zap-Action" kits that MPC made based upon Disney theme park attractions, this kit features animated 1/12 scale skeleton pirates that move about when built (through a system of parts with pegs, hinges, and rubber bands...ah, the short-lived phenomenon that was "Zap-Action"!) Just look at the boxtop art...gaze upon the visage of abject horror as the unfortunate pirate has the last frayed strips of withered flesh gnawed from his leg by a ravenous alligator...his rubber-band powered cutlass, although repeatedly chopping and hacking at the hellish beast (thanks to Zap-Action), is of little help. His efforts are futile. His cries go unheard. After all, this pirate is...condemned to chains...FOREVER!!! As with the others in this series, this kit includes all of its original inserts with pirate doubloons and a skull & crossbones plaque! This predates, of course, the hit movies of recent years. These long out-of-production kits were not reissued for the movies. Mister Pop Top doesn't know why...but it just makes this one all the more RARE! Box size 7" x 9" (which has one miniscule scratch on it, from an overzealous stockboy at Drug Fair). Out of stock.
