Original Robotech "Rick Hunter's" Veritech Fighter *SOLD*
[RARE]
$85.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $85.00) Robotech "Rick Hunter's" Veritech Fighter by Matchbox. A RARE FIND from 1985...a MINT-CONDITION diecast metal Veritech Fighter (flown...er...worn by Rick Hunter, the hero of the sci-fi hit animated series "Robotech"). "Robotech" aired on US TV in syndicated fashion as an 85-episode serial starting in March of 1985...it was a combination of three original Japanese anime shows: "Macross", "Southern Cross", and "Mospeada". Matchbox was given the job of marketing toy and action figure tie-ins to the epic series. Although the Matchbox "Robotech" toys were sometimes produced in limited runs, in this case by Overseas Toei (with limited availability across the US), they were always admired amongst aficianados for their high quality and collectibility. Did Mr. Pop Top mention that this one is in mint condition? Never been opened?!? This cool little robot transforms into 3 (!) different versions: fighter mode, guardian mode and battloid mode. But not pie a-la-mode. Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, comes complete with all of its battle armour pieces, canopy and heat shield. This "Mecha" is also "SD"...for the uninitiated, that translates to "Super Deformed", a Japanese craze where the model is a shortened, rounded version of the character robot. Box dimensions 5 1/2" x 7 1/2", with the battloid figure measuring 4" tall. Out of stock.
