Addams Family Cereal (Ralston)
[RARE]
$35.00

Original Addams Family Cereal, from Ralston. "Addams Family Cereal" was produced as a promotion tie-in for the 1991 film "The Addams Family", a slicked-up rehash of the TV show (which was better) based on the ghoulish magazine cartoons by Charles Addams (even better!!) The film made a ton of money and spawned a sequel "Addams Family Values" (Remember, this was back in the Dan Quayle vs. Murphy Brown era. Kiddies, there's your history assignment for today). This movie starred Anjelica Huston, the late, great Raul Julia and a VERY young Christina Ricci, who are all depicted on the front of this GREAT piece of 90's nostalgia! "Thing" is front and off-center, scooping out a delicious spoonful of carb-laden goodness. Grandma, Lurch, Pugsley, Uncle Fester...everybody made it to the shoot that day except Cousin It (he was rushed to Intensive Hair). Groan. The box described this cereal as "the creepy, crunchy cereal with the great taste you'll scream for." Each box had one of six portraits (suitable for framing and HANGING!) of scenes from the movie...this particular one shows their lovely house. The cereal pieces resembled skulls and other ghostly shapes and tasted like a mixture of Honeycomb, Kix and Cheerios. Yes, Mr. Pop Top put away more than a few bowls of this stuff back in the day. Hey, it only had 1 gram of fat, and didn't have any of that "high fructose corn syrup" crap in it that all cereals seem to have now: cheaper than using real sugar, don't you know. More profit for the suits. Nice long shelf life. Oh yeah, I forgot: it ends up killing you. But I digress...we have in stock but one of these lovely Addams Family cereal boxes, MINT CONDITION, UNOPENED, UNCONSUMED. Still full of foodstuff from 18+ years ago. Eeeek. Creepy, spooky...and altogether ooky. Hmmm, you may wish to have something else for dinner, and leave this as a display piece in your "I Love the 90's" shrine! Only one in stock.
