Original Godaikin "Godmarz" Transforming Robot *SOLD*
[RARE]
$520.00

(Sorry, Out of stock...SOLD for $520.00) Original "Godmarz" Godaikin Transforming Robot, by Bandai. From 1984 comes this gorgeous die-cast metal 6-robot combiner, Godmarz. This one is MINT CONDITION and is in excellent condition, since it has NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE BOX! A splendid example, again, of the toymaker's art, to make these 6 individual robots into one giant robot with a few deft moves...push, pull, click, click! Godmarz was from the 1981 Japanese TV series "Six God Combination Godmars" (the "Mars" reference was a nod to the Roman God of War). The wildly popular show ran for 64 episodes overseas, some parts of which were edited into a "Godmars" movie for American kiddies back in '82. The show won the coveted Anime Grand Prix award for 1982. The storyline involved a baby who was sent here from space accompanied by the giant robot Gaia, with the mission being the destruction of Earth. But, growing up, the child realizes a love of humanity and eventually uses his giant robot to defend Earth against the invading Gishinians. Hey, I don't make this stuff up! The "Godmars" robot (spelled "Godmarz" on this Godaikin box) was made up of 6 robots: Gaia, Sphinx, Uranus, Titan, Shin, and Ra. This incredible toy was expensive for its day and was basically mismarketed with limited release in the US. What a shame, this set is a beauty. This Godmarz will be an important part of your robot/mecha collection. Out of stock.
