1984 Kronoform "Terminators" Insect Robot Set (Takara) *SOLD*
[RARE]
$255.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $255.00) Vintage Kronoform "Terminators" Transforming Insect Combiner Robot Set, by Takara. Journey back in time with Mr. Pop Top to 1984...with Hasbro's "Transformers" line of robot toys taking off like wildfire in the US, the Takara toy company in Japan (who had licensed out many of their old Diaclone robots to Hasbro) must have decided to get a piece of the action directly by starting their "Kronoform" line. Here is a beautiful boxed set featuring 3 insect robots, the "Terminators Evil Robot Force"...looking very much like the Insecticons that would be released by Hasbro in following years. Takara attempted to develop a good vs. evil story line around the Kronoform characters, but it never went anywhere, as the Transformers and GoBots had taken too much of a marketing lead in the States. These 3 individually transforming insects are also "combiners", in that they all join together to make the "Giant 8 1/2" Tall Terminator Robot", as it shouts on the box. This short-lived Takara set from the 80s is difficult to find these days as they did not sell well in '84, and fewer still ended up in the hands of folks like yours truly, who has kept it unopened and stored, lo, these many years! Yep, that's right, it's MINT-CONDITION, UNPLAYED and UNOPENED. Open up your heart and let these 3 lonely, misunderstood insects in. Out of stock.
