SUPER RARE Pre-Transformers "357 Magnum Robo" *SOLD*
[RARE]
$520.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $520.00) Original Pre-Transformers "357 Magnum Robo", by Sunmayor Ohkawa. A Super Rarity...we're talking SCARCE, Poptoppers!! This transforming robot by the obscure Sunmayor Ohkawa Company changes from a VERY convincing handgun into a humanoid robot with a few deft moves, as described on the back of the packaging. This baby is in its original Japanese package, unremoved, unplayed...MINT-CONDITION complete with gunsight attachment and bullets! Box has little-to-no edgewear (Mr. Pop Top is the original owner). This toy barely made it to US shores in the early 1980's, after its production in Japan...you can see by the photo that "S&W" has been blacked-out on the box, presumably by Customs, to avoid confusion with a real Smith & Wesson handgun (although on the actual toy there is a "S&W" logo emblem on the gun's handpiece). This is, technically, a "Los Angeles Police Office (sic) Highway Patrolman 357 Magnum Robo", also known in this incarnation as "G-Robo-1". Whew! As my story continues...later on, the design for this toy was apparently "borrowed" for the G1 Transformer "Treadshot", a Decepticon Action Master...a deadly hired gun. It was briefly released in Italy under the Transformers banner as "Highway Patrol Robo". But here it is, gang, in its original version. Attention Transformers completists...you won't find many of these on the auction sites; better get this one before someone else does. Box dimensions 10" x 8". Out of stock.
