Original Transformers Crossover Version "Jetfire" Robot *SOLD*
[RARE]
$600.00

(Sorry, Out of stock...SOLD for $600.00) Original "Jetfire" Transformer Robot, by Hasbro. From 1985 comes one of the most unique of the Generation-1 Transformers, Jetfire. Known as the Autobot scientist "Skyfire" on the Transformers TV series, the toy of Jetfire was not on American shelves for very long, having limited distribution in 1985 only (due to a marketing conflict with the owner of the robot's original molds). Jetfire was a reissue of an old Takatoku toy from the Macross TV series...technically it was the VF-1S Super Valkyrie Fighter. This Jetfire in The Pop Top Shop today is MINT-IN-BOX (being a 1984 box even though it was only issued in '85)...it is a RARE "CROSSOVER" VARIATION of Jetfire, inasmuch as it has a Macross-version clear canope with painted black line, but it has the painted solid wing stripe with NO Macross symbol...the more common version of this Transformer has solid-line wing stripes and an opaque canope (not clear like this one) without black stripe. A production crossover that you will be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. The box is almost immaculate with little-to-no edge trauma. Factory-seal tape is sealed on one side, and open on the other. Contains all its original inserts and accessories, just like it was still 1985 and you had just picked this off of the shelf at Toys R Us. Incredible, and, in Mr. Pop Top's humble opinion, one the all-time best Transformers ever made...and just for one short year. Transforms from humanoid robot to "gerwalk" pose to fighter..the classic three transformations. Box dimensions 14" x 18". "More than meets the eye", indeed! Out of stock.
