In 1979 this long-awaited project saw the light, with the original cast of the NBC TV series (canceled 11 years prior to this film) reunited on a newly refitted Starship "Enterprise" with new challenges ahead...and a much bigger budget than the suits at the Biscuit Company let them have! The film was a huge hit despite a lumbering story, and spawned one of the most successful movie series ever, with numerous sequels continuing to this day. "Star Trek", indeed, lives! This game came out as part of the hooplah for the return of Kirk and friends...the fantastic artwork on the boxtop features portraits of the cast, Kirk, Spock, Bones, Uhura, a moustached Scotty (looking a bit like Harry Reems!) and the tragic actress Persis Khambatta, who memorably played Lt.
