An original 1984 "Soundwave" and "Buzzsaw" set from the FIRST YEAR of Transformers, 1984. And, may I add...this one is in MINT CONDITION, NEVER REMOVED FROM THE BOX, UNPLAYED. The box is in great shape too, factory tape sealed on one side (tape is split on the other side due to age)...these robots have never seen the light of day. Soundwave was an evil Decepticon Communications Officer who looked like a cassette-tape player (an aside from the present day: for younger readers who may not know what a cassette tape was, look it up...it might possibly be filed under "ancient recording methods"). He could read minds, jam radio broadcasts, and use his cohort spy cassette-shaped robots to do his bidding (and we don't mean ebay). He was one bad dude on the TV series, with his enormous strength, and his "Concussion Blaster". His buddy Buzzsaw was one of a group of transforming cassette robots that fits within the chest of this inventive toy from long ago. Buzzsaw himself transforms into an evil bird with a hook-shaped beak, great for tearing up his victims! Eeek!! Oh. Did I mention they're in mint condition? Oh yes, I did. There goes Mr. Pop Top's short-term memory again. Anyway, Soundwave is one of the most recognizable and iconic characters from the inception of the Transformers toy line.
