Here is a real oddity...a 1963 Revell kit (1/72 scale) of the famous German fighter of World War II, the FW-190...the kit was manufactured in Britain for sale in Germany, where it is illegal to show the swastika! Therefore, both the boxtop art and decal sheet were altered to show the German cross and NOT the swastika! A bit of revisionist history, to say the least...but you can understand why! Painful memories die hard. Just about every photo of an FW-190 you find will show that they had big swastikas in plain view all over the planes. Anyway, I purchased this unique kit in Germany 40 years ago, knowing full-well what I had in my hand!! I have kept this kit in its original form, UNBUILT, DECAL SHEET INTACT (even still has the little protective rice paper on the face of it), parts still bagged and treed, box in good shape...an ABSOLUTE GEM!!
