These are not recent issue items, these are the ORIGINALS from 1983, coinciding with the much-anticipated release of the movie "Return of the Jedi" in the "Star Wars" series. That was the one where after rescuing Han Solo from the palace of Jabba the Hutt, the Rebels attempt to destroy the Second Death Star, while Luke Skywalker tries to bring his father back to the Light Side of the Force...a completely disarming performance by Mark Hamill, if I recall. Anyway, these glasses have been in storage for 30 years, away from light and the ravages of time. The paint is bright and shiny, just like when Mr. Pop Top purchased them, lo, those many years ago alongside a Whopper and fries and carefully spirited them home. The glasses, that is. Ate the food.
