This classic kit is the earlier 1/600 scale MOTORIZED VERSION from 1976...Lindberg was known in this time period for offering some of its kits (boats, cars, etc.) with little electric engines which you would build and battery-operate when complete, presumably to stage your own bathtub battles! This is a well-detailed model of the famous Light Cruiser U.S.S. "Manchester" which was launched right after World War II in 1946 and saw lots of action in the Korean War. She ended her days being scrapped in 1960. This plastic model kit from over 33 years ago is UNBUILT and intact with all of its parts, electric engine and wiring, and other inserts in their original factory bags...as it has NEVER BEEN OPENED and is still FACTORY SHRINK-WRAPPED!!
