(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $45.00) Original 1978 Superman Promotional Press Pass. Wow! One of the RAREST of all of the items that came out concerning Superman's 1978 big-screen epic, "Superman: The Movie" starring Christopher Reeve and Marlon Brando...this was a promotional "press pass" from the Daily Planet newspaper (Clark Kent's workplace). This card is in absolute MINT CONDITION. The reverse features a statement about the honor of possessing such a pass...and it is signed in blue autopen by Perry White, Clark's longtime boss!! You just have to believe, gang, that there are very, very few of these cards still in existence. The "Superman" movie was slated to be released in June of 1978, but delays in production made it so it didn't wrap until October for a Christmas release. This promo piece was handed out by guys dressed in Superman suits (I kid you not...Mr. Pop Top remembers, as if it were yesterday!). This promotional was carried out in the EARLY SUMMER of 1978, in shopping malls and such, for the aborted June release. Therefore, this item is a real RARITY, from many months before the actual release of the film! Great Caesar's ghost!! (Out of stock)
