Lots and lots of hype, and then you finally saw the movie...and...you are checking your watch after the first 10 minutes...baaad sign. "The Last Action Hero" was quickly forgotten, except for that Arnold fellow who went on to become Governor of California!! Who would've thunk it? What comes next...locusts or famine??! "The Last Action Hero" came out in 1993 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as Jack Slater, along with F. Murray Abraham and, sadly, was the great Art Carney's final film. The toys were made by Mattel.
