This large, silver-grey Smoking Spaceman Robot is an exact repro of the iconic Japanese original by Yonezawa. Powered by 2 D batteries in his legs, he walks forward swinging his metal arms and emitting colorful, spinning rays of light from his prism-like brain. Then, suddenly...he stops, blinks his red eyes in a moment of peaceful serendipity, and puffs REAL SMOKE from his mouth!! Cough, cough. The "Smoking Spaceman" was designed by the legendary Rikizo Miyazawa in the 1950's. Ol' Smoky comes with a great repro original box with dramatic 50's artwork which alone, would be worth the price. You can't touch an original one of these unless you have very, very deep pockets. Mr. Pop Top fondly remembers growing up with one of these in the early 1960's and was a bit trepidatious about a repro version, but the folks at HaHa have done it...this guy looks the same, walks the same, sounds the same, feels the same in your hands (built like a tank)...even the smoke smells the same!!
