National Geographic Magazine from January 1958. Another great issue from the end of Geographic's golden era...articles on "Slow Boat to Florida", "Winter Brings Carnival Time to Quebec", "Corkscrew Swamp, Primeval Show Place of the Everglades" (by Melville Bell Grosvenor), "Limpkin, the "Crying Bird" that Haunts Florida Swamps" (spooky!), and "Cappadocia: Turkey's Country of Cones" (and you thought Beldar was from France!). Splendidly illustrated and written issue, in VG condition with very minor edge wear. Insert map is absent. Plenty of old ads for steamship lines, railways (California Zephyr Vista-Dome), the new Studebaker Commander, early televisions, etc. Great Cadillac ad with a giant Fleetwood in all its tail-finned glory in front of the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel! Magazine dimensions 10" x 7". Only one in stock.
