(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $475.00) 1914 WWI German "Iron Cross" Medal, First Class, with its original CASE! In Very Fine condition, from World War I comes the coveted Iron Cross award...and this one is the "First Class" version with pin, awarded to members of the German Army for extreme bravery...of which only 145,000 were made! ULTRA-RARE, especially in this condition, WITH ITS DISPLAY CASE. This is the three-piece silver and iron version, marked on the face with a crown, the letter "W", and the date "1914". The reverse bears the number "4" and "U16" on the pin section. The case is in great shape as well with little evidence of wear...it is black, leather-textured with button-clasp, and features the emblem of the "Eisernes Kreuz" embossed in silver. This is a GENUINE piece of military history...you just have to believe that very few of these survived the tough economic times in Germany of the 1920's, not to mention scrap metal drives during World War II in which many of these were melted down. A real collectors' item for those into military memorabilia. The IRON CROSS. Out of stock.
