WOW! From 1988, an original Wheaties box featuring football's Washington Redskins celebrating their big win in Superbowl XXII. For Redskins fans, it doesn't get any better than this (especially lately!)...a great photo of quarterback Doug Williams (to date, the only black quarterback to win the Superbowl) preparing to fire in another touchdown pass on the front. There's a "Tribute to the Washington Redskins" by USA Today writer Reid S. Cherner on the back, complete with an official team portrait featuring all of the players and coaching staff of the '87 Skins. One side of the box prompts you to send away to Wheaties, Breakfast of Champions for the "Official Superbowl XXII Game Program", while the other side has the...er...nutritive breakdown of the actual consumable product once contained therein. In VG-F condition, this would look great on display in your game room, or as a featured icon of your Redskins shrine, to encourage the burgundy-and-gold mojo! Box dimensions 12" x 8 1/2". Box contains no cereal. Only two left in stock. "Hail to the Redskins!"
