A TRUE RARITY, this early 1970's sports collectors' cup highlights the career of Eugene "Mercury" Morris...born in 1947, "Mercury" was the star of Superbowls VII and VII. He also was honored by being chosen to play in three(!) Pro Bowls. One of the most exciting players to watch during the 60's and 70's, Morris' NFL years were spent mainly with the Miami Dolphins of the AFL, and later with the San Diego Chargers. "Mercury" Morris was a member of the legendary UNDEFEATED 1972 Dolphins team. After hitting a few rough patches when his football career ended, Morris became a successful motivational speaker. These early Burger King football player cups are difficult to find in any condition now, as they were made of very, very thin plastic and few survived. We have one!
