Rock Lords "Stoneheart" Transforming Robot (Tonka) *SOLD*
[RARE]
$45.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $45.00) Rock Lords "Stoneheart" Transforming Robot, by Tonka. Journey with me, if you dare, back to 1985...in the wake of the success of the GoBots line of transforming robots, Tonka came out with a series known as "Rock Lords". These were robot figures which, with a but few manipulations transformed into, well...rocks! Originally made by Bandai as the "Machine Robo Ganseki Chojin" series in Japan, the Rock Lords were ingenious and well-built...and generally misunderstood in the US, where they were discontinued after three short years. Mr. Pop Top happens to love them and thinks that these little treasures will one day get the kudos they deserve. This one, Stoneheart, is a great example from the G1 era. Originally known as "Amazon Rock" in its Japanese issue, Stoneheart was one of the coolest-looking of all Rock Lords. The character, in the GoBots vs. Rock Lords feature film, was the cruelest of all the evil Rock Lords. He was completely made of slabs of slate..."Powerful Living Rocks", it says on his packaging. Oh yes, the packaging...it is difficult to locate Rock Lords any way but loose these days, as they begged to be opened up and played with...this particular "Stoneheart" is in MINT-CONDITION on its ORIGINAL SEALED CARD. A wonderful example of the toymaker's art. Out of stock.
