Vintage Mospeada 21 "Scott Bernard" Armor Bike DX *SOLD*
[RARE]
$255.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $255.00) Vintage Mospeada 21 "Scott Bernard" Armor Bike, by Gakken. This is the LARGE DX SIZE version of this important toy from the golden age of Japanese Sci-Fi anime. A RARE early American-release Mospeada toy from 1983, MINT-IN-BOX condition; NEVER REMOVED FROM THE BOX, UNPLAYED. Box is perfect. "Genesis Climber Mospeada" (stands for "Military Operation Soldier Protect Emergency Aviation Dive Auto") was a 25 episode long anime TV series that ran from late 1983 to early 1984 that dealt with a small group of human rebels who attempted to free Earth from the control of aliens known as the Inbit. While only mildly successful and never escaping the shadow of shows like "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross", Mospeada gained a measure of notoriety/fame outside Japan when it was made into the final section of "Robotech" in the U.S.. This beauty featuring both the armor bike and the humanoid VR-052-F "riding suit" is loaded with diecast metal parts mixed with plastic; a well-made toy by any standard. It is hard to find these large version Mospeada items as they carried a high price tag back when they were new, and had no TV tie-in at the time (until a year or two later when "Robotech" came out in syndication), so they didn't sell especially well in the US...creating a real rarity. Make it a part of your collection! Out of stock.
