1996 Happy Meal "Wolverine" X-Men Toy (McDonald's)
[RARE]
$10.00

1996 Happy Meal "Wolverine" X-Men Toy, from McDonald's. This splendid Happy Meal offering (3# in the "Marvel Super Heroes" series) features everyone's favorite mutant, Wolverine, piloting a nifty blue fighter jet with front-swept wings. If this went over your house you would take notice. "Dang, Marsha...there goes that Wolverine fella". Born James Howlett but better known as "Logan", Wolverine is a mutant, possessing animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, retracting bone claws, and a healing factor that allows him to quickly recover from virtually any wound, disease or toxin, also enabling him to live beyond a normal human lifespan. This healing ability enabled the "super-soldier" program "Weapon-X" to bond the near indestructible metal alloy "Adamantium" to his skeleton and claws without killing him. Wolverine was typical of the many tough anti-authority anti-heroes that emerged in American popular culture after the Vietnam War; his willingness to use deadly force and his brooding nature became standard characteristics for comic book anti-heroes by the end of the 80's. As a result, the character became the fan favorite of the X-Men franchise. First introduced in 1974 guesting in a "Hulk" title, Wolverine has been featured in his own solo comic since 1988 and has been a central character in EVERY X-Men adaptation, including animated television series, video games, and the "X-Men" movie series, in which he is portrayed by the multi-talented Hugh Jackman! This RARE Happy Meal toy from two decades ago is UNOPENED in its FACTORY-SEALED BAG, GEM MINT. Don't let it soar into another collection...possess Wolverine and his plane today! Only one in stock.
