This beautiful 1/100 scale kit of the famous "Le Soleil Royal" (Royal Sun) is the Japanese Imai release from the early 1980's, MINT CONDITION, NEVER OPENED SEALED PARTS BAGS, COMPLETE. This is a modeler's dream...made from Heller molds, this version from Imai (sadly they are no more) is legendary: over 2,300 parts, full rigging, ornately carved stern decorations, fine planking work...just a bloody MASTERPIECE!! Museum quality. "Le Soleil Royal" was built in 1669...the ship was part of an epic sea battle in 1692 where she took unbelievable damage and fought against all odds...in the form of over 80 Anglo-Dutch warships!
