Vintage "Highways Pioneers" Renault Limousine Kit, by Revell. Imagine this on the shelf of your local hobby shop back in 1953...an EARLY kit from the infancy of plastic modeling. An entry in the Gowland & Gowland / Revell "Highway Pioneers" series, this beautiful 1/32 scale model of a 1907 Renault Limousine is a classic! This kit is open-box, but complete with all parts (most still on their original trees, with the cellophane wrapping still present) and instruction booklet. Box is in OK shape for its age and scarcity, with a few scuffs and tape marks but otherwise all four corners intact and unsplit. These early Gowland Revells are HARD to find, now over 65 years after their release! One has to believe that there probably aren't too many of these still in existence UNBUILT as this one is. Think back to 1953...General Dwight D. Eisenhower was the new Commander-in-Chief (fun fact: he was our last President to be born in the 1800's!), "I Love Lucy" was beginning its third season, taking some steam out of the reigning "King of Television" Milton Berle...and the Korean War (er, uh, "police action") was still raging. We are talking *a few years back* on the ol' timeline, Poptoppers. This obscure early kit is RARE. Make it a part of your collection before someone else has the same idea. Only one in stock.
