National Geographic 1964/4
[RARE]
$15.00

National Geographic from April 1964. A VF condition copy of this important issue that features the Jacques-Yves Cousteau article that started it all for his long-running series of TV specials, "At Home in the Sea". Loaded with great photos as usual, with the articles "The Cats in our Lives", "From Sun-Clad Sea to Shining Mountains", "New Portrait of America", and "Over and Under Chesapeake Bay". Also loaded with ads for Chevrolet, the new Ford Galaxie 500, Pan-Am, Buick LeSabre, and more. The ad on the back cover for Coca-Cola is a priceless bit of cheeky 60's Madison Avenue, with two perky home-gardeners getting ready to plant the big one...as Ward looks on with a smile, June is pointing, almost Babe Ruth-like, to where the deed will be done! They even brought their dog along, for the paws that refreshes (sorry, Mr. Pop Top couldn't resist). Snatch this copy up today! Only one in stock.
