From 1985...the Generation-1 infancy of The Transformers, comes this MINT CONDITION, FACTORY-SEALED book and cassette tape set entitled "When Continents Collide"! Megatron extracts oil from the Alaskan pipeline and reservoirs. He takes so much oil that emptied cavities under the Earth's surface begin collapsing, causing earthquakes, shifting of landmasses, and volcanic eruptions. Eeek!! In the book it states that Russia and "the West" reach the brink of thermo-nuclear war over the disasters, marking a rare instance of Transformers fiction acknowledging the existence of nuclear power and weapons! The Decepticons get around in a long hovering oil transporter / driller stolen from humans until Skyfire destroys it partway through the book. They then move into a deap-sea oil transporter also stolen from humans, this one shaped like a flying saucer. Kowabunga! "See the pictures! Hear the story! Read the book!" screams the cover.
