Original Godaikin "Sun Vulcan" Transforming Robot (Bandai) *SOLD
[RARE]
$650.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $650.00)Original "Sun Vulcan" Godaikin Transforming Robot, by Bandai. A WONDERFUL robot from 1982...and one of the real undiscovered gems of the prestigious Godaikin line. Sun Vulcan, loaded with chunky, beautifully-painted diecast metal, MINT-IN-BOX, NEVER OPENED with all of his accessories and weapons; a real rarity to find this "blue box" robot...UNPLAYED! Sun Vulcan came from the Toei Japanese TV series "Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan" which ran for 50 episodes, starting in 1981. This sequel to "Denziman" (and precursor to "Goggle V") dealt with three warriors who combined as Sun Vulcan to fight the evil forces of Black Magma. This was the fifth chapter of the legendary "Super Sentai" saga, and was popular enough to have also spawned a feature film, "Solar Task Force Sun Vulcan". The robot in this series was the first "combiner" in the "Super Sentai" saga...it transforms from a space ship, to "Bull Vulcan" (a futuristic bulldozer!) This old DX Godaikin toy was originally produced by Popy in 1981...it is a rarity now, inasmuch as it was overlooked in the US market where the character was generally not known. Combine mismarketing with its original high ticket price and...well you know the rest. This was an important character overseas...these robots usually sell for much more than this in Asia...that is, when they can be found of this quality. Here, preserved for you in Mr. Pop Top's personal time capsule for over a quarter-century, is Sun Vulcan. Out of stock.
