Original Jetsons Lunchbox with Thermos (Aladdin)
[RARE]
$45.00

Original Jetsons Lunchbox with Thermos, by Aladdin. Here is a real treat...a complete original Jetsons lunchbox from 20+ years ago. This one is in F-VF condition, with the cover art still intact with firm edge all the way around the applied image. The Thermos is in superb condition too. This is a futuristic red plastic lunchbox with the logo of the Jetsons Movie and a great portrait of Jane, Judy, Astro, George and his boy Elroy Jetson all out for a spin in their red Jetsons car, flying amongst the elevated buildings of the future. Yes, that's the Spacely Sprockets building off to the right. The plot of the movie was based on the 1962 TV series where George Jetson has been promoted Vice President of the Spacely Sprockets Orbiting Ore Asteroid Plant in Outer Space. He decides to take his whole futuristic family with him to move there but even as they landed, something or someone is sabotaging the plant! Can the Jetsons find out who's behind this?? The movie was going to come out for 1989 but production was slowed due to the failing health of George O'Hanlon who provided the voice for George Jetson. A series of strokes had robbed him of most of his sight by the time this film was being made, so O'Hanlon's lines had to be read to him, for him to hear and repeat for the soundtrack. As fate would have it: George O'Hanlon died from a massive stroke just a couple hours after he recorded his last few lines for this movie. Also, the great voice of Mel Blanc (heard as Mr. Spacely) was silenced just days after completion of his role in the Jetsons Movie. When "Jetsons - The Movie" was released in 1990, it was dedicated to both in the closing credits. Did Mr. Pop Top mention that he is throwing in an ORIGINAL, FACTORY-SEALED VHS copy of "Jetsons - The Movie"? Yes, you will get the lunchbox with Thermos...AND the movie, as a set! A splendid piece of pop culture. Just inch your way over to that little "Add To Cart" button over there...and click. Only one in stock.
