Tim Flock's Chevy NASCAR Racer, from Hot Wheels. A LIMITED EDITION piece that was available ONLY BY MAIL with membership in the "Start Your Engines" club back in 1992. It's a beaut...a sleek black Chevy with detailed markings advertising "Smokey's - Best Dam Garage in Town"! Tim Flock was one of NASCAR's pioneers and was around at the very beginning. He finished fifth in NASCAR's inaugural "Strictly Stock" race at Charlotte, North Carolina in 1949. NASCAR's first official season ended with Tim in eighth, Tim's brother Fonty Flock in fifth, and Tim's brother Bob Flock in third in the overall points standing. 1955 was a record setting year for Flock and NASCAR. He won his second Grand National Championship title and had 19 poles and 18 victories in 45 races. The 18 victories stood as a record until broken by "The King", Richard Petty, in 1967. The 19 poles is still the highest number in a NASCAR season! A month before his death in 1998, Flock was honored as one of "NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers". Here is a splendid 1/64 scale diecast that would be a prime piece of your racing collection. Only one in stock.
