Lana Lobell "Latest Fashions!" Special Issue Catalog, from Spring 1968. What can I say about this humble catalog preserved, lo, these many years by yours truly, Mr. Pop Top? 1968...the Vietnam War raged on, assassinations were all too common...a year of utter turmoil politically. It appears that all of the frustrations of mankind were taken out upon the fashion industry, if one can judge by this Lana Lobell offering. This is a real window to the past...possibly the nadir of Western Civilization...and hey, we didn't even know it!! These poor women, their hair pitifully encrusted with hairspray and dye, lined up on display wearing earth-toned, sack-like housedresses that "Maude" wouldn't even have considered. Stripes! Solids! Bows that hang stiffly! And some items that would've have been seen at the "Big Lots" where the Hee-Haw Honeys shopped. This is an incredible piece of history, this catalog. "Latest Fashions!" screams the cover...and what are those women all looking at? Something must be *mighty fascinating* just off the edge of the page...we'll never know what. Hey...check it out...that's the same model in triplicate, in the days before Photoshop! Don't miss out on this EXCELLENT piece of 1960's history! Who knows...this may be the only surviving copy of this gem. Only one in stock.
