RARE "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" Boxed Set *SOLD*
[RARE]
$255.00

(Sorry, out of stock...SOLD for $255.00) SUPER RARE "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" Boxed Set, by Memory Lane. Wow! One of the Holy Grails for those who collect Memory Lane figures...the RARE boxed set of the entire cast of characters from the original 1964 TV special! This set, entitled "Bumble & Friends" includes: The Abominable Snow Monster (The Bumble), Yukon Cornelius, Foreman Elf, Charlie-in-the-Box, Comet, Hermey, Misfit Cowboy, Clarice, Girl Elf, Santa Claus, Sam the Snowman, and of course, Rudolph! "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" is from the long-running Christmas television special produced in stop-motion animation by the Rankin/Bass Studio. It first aired on NBC on the fateful night of December 6, 1964, sponsored by General Electric under the umbrella title of "The General Electric Fantasy Hour". The special was based on the song by Johnny Marks, which was in turn taken from the 1939 poem of the same title written by Marks' brother-in-law, Robert L. May who created Rudolph as a character for a department store Christmas promotion. It has been telecast every year since 1964, making it the longest running Christmas TV special in television history! Incredible...and Mr. Pop Top remembers watching it on a black & white Admiral TV the FIRST time it aired...which shows you how old I am!! Anyway, this great display set is UNOPENED, MINT CONDITION, still FACTORY-TAPE-SEALED, BOTH SIDES!!! Out of stock.
