This classic kit is the earlier MOTORIZED VERSION from the 1970's...Lindberg was known in this time period for offering some of its kits (boats, cars, etc.) with little electric engines which you would build and battery-operate when complete. This is a well-detailed model of the famous destroyer escort USS "DeLong" which was built in 1943 and saw action in both World War II and the Korean War (er...excuse Mr. Pop Top..."Police Action"! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.) The "DeLong" also saw duty in later years patroling the Caribbean Basin, and ended her days in 1970 being sunk as a target ship. This plastic model kit is UNBUILT and intact with all of its parts, engine, and other inserts in their original factory bags.
