Giant-Size Captain Marvel #1, by Marvel Comics. From 1975 comes this bombastic booklength blockbuster, with stories penned by the great Roy Thomas and artwork by the legendary Gil Kane (of Green Lantern fame). This dramatic comic features not only Captain Marvel, but the Hulk and Captain America as well, all striking steroid-induced poses for 68 big pages! A great example of the Marvel Superhero universe of over 30 years ago. This copy is in VF condition. And, as usual, Mr. Pop Top does love those old ads: you could get a "Patented 3D Hypno-Coin for FREE" to use, presumably, on your next date; the obligatory "Grit" boy makes an appearance; buy a Skin-Head wig or a Spud Gun from Honor House; acquire 25 live seahorses for only $2.98; Mattel's muscle-bound "Heroes in Action" figures shooting at something just off of the page (RATTATTAT!); and much, much more. Ah, wonderful 1975, when you could get this mag for 50 cents at People's Drug Store. Magazine dimensions 10" x 6 3/4". Only one in stock. Excelsior!
