Screen Stories Marilyn Monroe Issue, from Dell. This historic issue of one of the most popular of the "Movie Magazines" is from July 1957...and what an issue it is! The feature story is all about Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier's new film "The Prince and the Showgirl". Loaded with pictures from the shooting of this classic and other films of the Summer of '57...and check out the INCREDIBLE, PIN-UP-WORTHY pic of the delectably shapely Cyd Charisse on the set of "Silk Stockings", wearing not much more than...!! O la la !!! This slice of the times mag also has a piece on Pat Boone and his first movie appearance in "Bernadine", and Rock Hudson in "Something of Value". There is also a full-page ad within for one of Mr. Pop Top's all-time favorite flicks, "The D.I." starring Jack Webb (predating "Full Metal Jacket" in its message of military insanity...there's a great scene where Webb, who has ordered "silence" during a war game, sees a recruit swatting a sand flea on his own sweaty neck in the southern heat...only to have the hapless troop then FIND the swatted bug, dig a six-foot grave for it and bury it with all honors. Holy Captain Queeg!!!) Also features a story about the great Sal Mineo's starring turn in "Dino". No, no, no...it wasn't about the Flintstones' pet. This "Screen Stories" magazine (in VG-F condition) is a great piece of pop culture from the swingin' '50's. Only one in stock.
