Steve Irwin "Crocodile Hunter" Notebook, by Pyramid. Here is a MINT-CONDITION, unused 50-page "Theme Book", that every kiddy going to school a decade ago would've had in their respective backpacks. This one features a terrific photo of the late, great Steve Irwin aka "The Crocodile Hunter" and one of his Croc pals. "Have a go at this!" he cheekily taunts...I can still hear his Aussie accent. Irwin and his wife ran a wildlife preserve in northern Australia that was a bit of a family business going back to Irwin's parents. When the "Animal Planet" TV channel picked up on this character for a TV series, the "Crocodile Hunter" took off like wildfire. I know I would never miss an episode, with Irwin crawling on his stomach looking for spitting lizards or venomous snakes...and then he would risk his neck while showing them to the camera! His intentness and fervor came through the camera...you couldn't help but watch. And you always learned something, despite, or maybe because of Steve's insane theatrics with these creatures. The world was shocked, however, in 2006 when they learned of his untimely death, getting bayoneted by a stingray's tailspike while filming a segment in the waters of the Great Barrier Reef for his little daughter Bindi's new show. Anyway, his show is still on in reruns, and his work continues through his wife and family. He is missed. Here is a bit of "Crocodile Hunter" fever, a school notebook, preserved for your collecting pleasure by lil' ol' me, Mr. Pop Top. Only one in stock. Crikeys!!!
