1968 FIRST VERSION "Star Trek" USS "Enterprise" Kit (AMT)
[RARE]
$295.00

An original 1968 FIRST VERSION Star Trek USS "Enterprise" kit by AMT. WOW!!! This one is UNBUILT with all of the original inserts and decal sheet, in mint condition, and ...this is the RARE "LARGE BOX" version of this famous model kit from 1968. NOT A RE-ISSUE, this is the real deal! After the initial success of this kit on the heels of the groundswell poularity of the NBC-TV series, AMT repackaged it in smaller form for the bulk of its shelf-life in hobby and toy shops across America...this is one of the early ones with the larger box (dimensions 10" x 14"). There are pictures of William Shatner's "Captain James T. Kirk" and Leonard Nimoy's "Mr. Spock" on the sides of the box, along with other promos for AMT model kits. Just think of the impact that the original Star Trek series has made on history and pop culture, not to mention portending future inventions that went from being science fiction...to being science fact! Beam this one up for your collection; it is a rarity and an important piece of memorabilia, being one of the first kits to come out during the original series' run. Only one in stock.
